MOBILITY - CARE - NIGHTLIFE -

NightFlows emerges from shared experiences:
the energy of a night out clashing with the anxiety of the return journey,
the search for connection that can end in risky situations.

We created this initiative to
listen, research, and co-design nighttime mobility based on the real needs of those who live the night, especially women and queer people.
We start from the electronic music scene, a source of counter-culture and community, to extend
care practices from the dancefloor all the way home.

OUR APPROACH

NightFlows is the evolution of Connexxa, an initiative born in 2022, active from 2024, that enabled transportation experiments in collaboration with the Italian electronic music scene.

THE RIGHT TO EXPERIENCE THE NIGHT

THE STRUGGLE OF MOVING AT NIGHT

Attending an event also means worrying about getting there and back home.

Accepting rides we would have preferred to avoid, spending too much on taxis, walking quickly down dark streets: these aren't paranoias, but symptoms of a system that doesn't care for people.

  • THE ISOLATION OF THOSE WITH NO TRANSPORT ALTERNATIVES

  • THE INSECURITY IN PUBLIC SPACES, WHERE WE ARE LEFT ALONE WITH RISKS

  • THE DIFFICULTY OF HUMAN INTERACTIONS WHEN PERCEPTIONS AND BOUNDARIES ARE ALTERED

SERVICES AND SPACES DESIGNED
AS IF OUR EXISTENCES WERE EXCEPTIONS

These realities, which disproportionately affect women and queer people,
limit our freedom to
experience the city at any hour

Connexxa is our nomadic laboratory:

The tool that brings research to events, to the streets, to online conversations.

The place where listening becomes action.
